Invitation to Scientific Lecture and Research Seminar

Dear All,

We warmly invite you to attend a scientific lecture and research seminar led by Prof. Paula Coutinho, a distinguished biotechnologist and coordinating professor at the Department of Biomedical and Bioanalytical Sciences at the Polytechnic of Guarda (Portugal).

Prof. Coutinho is biotechnologist with conceptual thinking, and a strong background in biological sciences, biochemistry and biotechnology and its applications. She is a Coordinating Professor of the Biomedical and Bioanalytical Department at Polytechnic of Guarda, with expertise in multidisciplinary fields of Biomaterials, Microalgae Biotechnology and Nanotechnology, and experienced in the characterization of polysaccharides as biomaterials for biomedical applications. During the last 15 years of her career, after the PhD (2008) in Microalgae Biotechnology at the University of Santiago de Compostela, her main achievements were related to the participation (as PI and Co-PI) in research projects dedicated to the development of new drug delivery systems, the combination of different polymers, and innovative techniques for the development of more personalized systems for skin regeneration. Coordinating Researcher of BRIDGES - Biotechnology Research, Innovation and Design for Health Products, and Coordinator of BSc in Medicinal Biotechnology at Polytechnic of Guarda. As a result of research activity, namely considering national and international collaborations, co-authoring scientific works and research projects in Microalgae Biotechnology and Biomaterials.
