Laboratory of Movement Analysis

The Movement Analysis Laboratory, located within the University Athletics Center, utilizes modern measuring equipment to conduct a comprehensive and multi-aspect assessment of selected elements of human motor abilities, as well as to evaluate kinetic and kinematic parameters related to movement. The laboratory conducts scientific research in sports and among people of various social and age groups.

The laboratory includes test stands for:

  • anthropometric measurements,
  • assessment of motor abilities in sports and health training,
  • biomechanical analysis of movement.

The laboratory equipment allows for:

  • biomechanical assessment of various movement patterns (OptiTrack system, Ultium Portable Lab),
  • Measurement and analysis of spatiotemporal parameters of gait or running (Zebris FDM 3 platform, h/p/cosmos Gaitway Pulsar 3p treadmill – Arsalis Gaitway 3D+1D, Ultium Portable Lab)
  • assessment of maximum muscular strength in isometric conditions and measurement of muscular power and strength endurance in isokinetic conditions (BTE Primus RS, Gamma platform)
  • measurement of explosive strength, power, and strength endurance of lower limbs (AMTI BMS force plates, Ultium Insoles, OptoGait, GYKO)
  • measurement and analysis of the electrical activity of muscles using surface electromyography methods (Ultium EMG) and muscle function diagnostics using tensiomyography (TMG)
  • assessment of mobility and joint range of motion (BTE Primus RS, Ultium Motion, Gyko)
  • balance and postural stability assessment (AMTI BMS/AccuGait force plates, Ultium Insoles, GYKO)
  • anthropometric and body composition measurements (Seca 213 stadiometer, Inbody770 body composition analyser)
