Whistleblowing at the University of Rzeszów

At the University of Rzeszów (UR), we uphold a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of discrimination and unethical conduct. We are committed to providing our faculty, staff, students, doctoral candidates, community members, external partners, contractors, and all relevant stakeholders with safe and confidential channels for reporting concerns related to misconduct. Reports can be submitted through various means, including an anonymous online form, direct contact with the Office of Equal Treatment, or via a dedicated email address provided on the university’s official website.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Academic and Research Misconduct
  • Data Management and GDPR Violations
  • Discrimination and Exclusion
  • Fraudulent Activities
  • Misuse of Assets or Authority
  • Misrepresentation of Facts
  • Plagiarism and Authorship Manipulation
  • Workplace Harassment
  • Non-compliance with Institutional or Legal Obligations

UR fosters a culture of integrity, transparency, and ethical responsibility. Reports can be submitted anonymously to the Office of Equal Treatment, and the identity of the whistleblower is fully protected in accordance with university policy.

If you have concerns about potential misconduct, you are encouraged to report them. Reports may relate to the following areas:

  • Academic Misconduct
    (e.g. plagiarism, cheating, grade manipulation)
  • Employee Misconduct
    (e.g. abuse of position, unethical behavior, breach of duties)
  • Research Misconduct, Research Compliance, or Ethics
    (e.g. data fabrication, unethical experimentation, authorship disputes, ghostwriting, honorary authorship, conflict of interest)
  • Violations of Good Research Practice
    (e.g. improper data management such as failure to store research data, unethical collaboration, unfair peer review)

  • Accounting, Procurement, and Auditing Matters
    (e.g. financial irregularities, misuse of funds)
  • Conflict of Interest
    (e.g. undisclosed relationships, biased decision-making)
  • Harassment
    (e.g. bullying, sexual harassment, discrimination)

  • Community Incidents
    (e.g. threats to campus safety, vandalism, hate speech)
  • Discrimination and Exclusion
    (UR maintains zero tolerance towards discrimination of all kinds)
  • Graduate Student Matters
    (e.g. supervision issues, unfair treatment, exploitation)

    (e.g. unsafe working conditions, environmental violations)

The Rules of Ethics implemented at the University of Rzeszów are in full compliance with the requirements of the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity (ALLEA) and are aligned with the European academic principles defined by the European University Association (EUA).

The procedure used at the University of Rzeszów is designed in accordance with the EU Directive 2019/1937, titled the Whistleblower Protection Directive.

As part of the procedures implemented at the University of Rzeszów, any individual also has the possibility to report externally to national supervisory authorities, should internal procedures fail.
