Required Documents for Bachelor’s and Long-Cycle Master’s Studies
Candidates with an International or European Baccalaureate (IB/EB)
- Application for admission to studies
- IB/EB secondary school diploma
- If you have not yet received your diploma, you should submit the so-called predicted IB/EB results together with their certified translation into Polish, or a certificate confirming your exam results issued by the school where you took the examination.
An admitted candidate is required to submit the IB/EB diploma together with its translation by 22 September. - Declaration of submitting the IB/EB diploma – if, during the admission process, you submitted predicted results or a certificate confirming your exam results.
- A document confirming proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level – applicable to foreign candidates (more information here).
- Consent of your parents or legal guardians to undertake studies at the University of Rzeszów – if you are under 18 years old (together with the relevant attachments).
Applicants with a Ukrainian secondary school leaving certificate
- Application for admission to studies
- Certificate of Complete General Secondary Education or another document recognized in the Republic of Poland as a document entitling the holder to apply for admission to higher education studies.
- A translation of the certificate prepared by a sworn translator entered on the list of Polish sworn translators, or by a foreign translator and certified by the competent Consul of the Republic of Poland.
- Supplement to the Certificate of Complete General Secondary Education
- Certified translation of the supplement to the Certificate of Complete General Secondary Education
- A document confirming proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level – applies to foreign candidates (more information here).
- Consent of your parents or legal guardians to undertake studies at the University of Rzeszów – if you are under 18 years old (together with the relevant attachments).
Foreign applicants with a Polish secondary school leaving certificate
- Application for admission to studies with a photo in electronic form, which should be printed from the recruitment system (Attachments tab).
- A photocopy of the secondary school leaving certificate (Matura certificate) and the original for inspection by the Faculty Admissions Committee.
- A document entitling you to undertake studies without paying tuition fees (if applicable) – applies to foreign candidates (more information here).
- A medical certificate confirming the absence of contraindications to undertake higher education studies – required for programmes in which harmful, burdensome, or hazardous factors for health may occur.
- The original power of attorney – if a person acts on behalf of the candidate.
- Consent of your parents or legal guardians to undertake studies at the University of Rzeszów – if you are under 18 years old (together with the relevant attachments).
Applicants with a foreign secondary school leaving certificate
- Application for admission to studies
- A secondary school certificate or another document recognized in the Republic of Poland as a document entitling the holder to apply for admission to higher education studies.
- A translation of the certificate prepared by a sworn translator entered on the list of Polish sworn translators, or by a foreign translator and certified by the competent Consul of the Republic of Poland.
- A document confirming proficiency in Polish at a minimum B2 level – applicable to foreign candidates (more information here).
- A document entitling you to undertake studies without paying tuition fees (if applicable) – applicable to foreign candidates (more information here).
- Consent of your parents or legal guardians to undertake studies at the University of Rzeszów – if you are under 18 years old (together with the relevant attachments).
- Information issued by the Director of NAWA (if applicable).
- A foreign national applying for first-cycle (Bachelor’s) studies or long-cycle Master’s studies who holds a foreign qualification (excluding International Baccalaureate – IB – and European Baccalaureate – EB diplomas) issued in a country that is not a member of the European Union (EU), the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), or the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and not covered by the provisions of an international agreement (such terms apply, for example, to documents issued by China or Ukraine), shall be required, as part of the admission process, to:
- submit the educational document issued abroad together with a written statement concerning said document, issued by the Director of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA)
- provide a document confirming proficiency in the language of instruction of the study programme at a level of at least B2
- successfully pass an entrance examination verifying knowledge necessary to undertake studies at the relevant level.
The types of documents confirming language proficiency in the language of instruction of the study programme shall be specified by a regulation issued by the Minister of Science and Higher Education.

Required documents
- application for admission to the University and a personal questionnaire (printed from the application system),
- a certificate or other document recognized in the Republic of Poland as a document entitling you to apply for admission to university (photocopy and original available for inspection),
- sworn translations of documents prepared in a foreign language submitted in the recruitment procedure: translation into Polish or English
- if you are under 18 years of age - consent granted from your parents or a legal representative to pursue a degree at the University of Rzeszów. If the other parent is unable to submit the document, one document should be submitted, i.e. the consent of one parent with justification
- original power of attorney if another person acts on your behalf
- medical examinations (required for the Physiotherapy and Medicine programmes)
Attention!
Please be advised that as of July 1, 2025, the responsibility for issuing information on foreign certificates and documents confirming eligibility to apply for first-cycle (bachelor’s) and long-cycle master’s degree programmes will be transferred to the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
Pursuant to the Act of April 4, 2025, amending certain acts to eliminate irregularities in the visa system of the Republic of Poland, announced on May 12, 2025, the Director of NAWA will be granted the authority to issue written statements confirming whether a certificate or other document entitles the holder to apply for admission to first-cycle or long-cycle master’s degree programmes in the Republic of Poland, based on a submitted application.
These new responsibilities will be carried out by the NAWA Office for the Recognition of Education as of July 1, 2025. Applications for recognition of certificates submitted before this date will not be processed.
