UR SAFE

Safety in the Academic Environment of the University of Rzeszów

As a space for education, scientific research and personal development, the University is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all members of its community. A modern approach to safety involves a number of interrelated areas (each of the aspects listed below constitutes a separate operational domain at UR – more information is available via the corresponding links):

🔐 Cybersecurity

The University has appointed the Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Cybersecurity and organises training sessions with experts, including representatives of the Internal Security Agency, aimed at raising awareness of digital threats and the secure use of ICT tools.

⚖️ Preventing Mobbing and Discrimination

The University operates a Committee for the Prevention of Mobbing and Corruption, chaired by the Rector’s Plenipotentiary for the Prevention of Mobbing and Corruption. Staff may submit written complaints, and the University provides training and information sessions on the topic.

👩‍🎓 Gender Equality Plan

The University is implementing its Gender Equality Plan for 2025–2027, focusing on intersectionality and preventing gender-based violence. The plan continues successful practices from previous years and forms an integral part of the University’s development strategy.

🧒 Protection of Minors

The University has implemented “Standards for the Protection of Minors” to ensure the safety of underage participants in University events. The document sets out rules for safe interactions and procedures for staff verification.

🧠 Psychological Support

Members of the academic community have access to free psychological consultations offered by the Office for Persons with Disabilities and the "No stress" counselling service. Support is available to students, doctoral candidates and academic staff.

🔒 Personal Data Protection (GDPR)

The University adheres to GDPR regulations and ensures appropriate safeguards for personal data. Information clauses and contact details for the Data Protection Officer are available on the University’s website.

🎓 Student Rights

Students are guaranteed rights set out in the Study Regulations and the Student Code of Ethics. In the event of violations, they may contact the Student Rights Ombudsperson, who is responsible for defending their interests.

Some matters can be resolved independently – this requires familiarity with the regulations and legal acts in force at the University of Rzeszów.
Sometimes a simple conversation is enough – #mediation
