The Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Rzeszów was formally established on January 1st, 2025, as part of a structural transformation that incorporated selected academic programmes from the former College of Social Sciences.

The Faculty conducts its research and teaching activities through two specialized institutes:

• Institute of Political Science
• Institute of Sociological Sciences

The Faculty holds full academic rights to confer both doctoral (PhD) and postdoctoral (habilitation) degrees in the discipline of social sciences, specifically in:

• Political Science and Administration
• Sociology
