The Institute of Archaeology of the University of Rzeszów, Poland (Organizer), Institute of Pre- and Protohistoric Archaeology of the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel, Germany  (Co-organizer), Institute of Archaeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv, Ukraine (Co-organizer) and Rzeszów Archaeological Center Foundation in Rzeszów, Poland (Co-organizer) are organizing the international conference on archaeodemography that will be held at the Institute of Archaeology of the University of Rzeszów on November 22-24 2016.

This international conference is intended as an exchange of experiences in archaeodemographic theory, methodology and models, while at the same time addressing the recent issues of the sub-discipline. Presentations will represent different chronological periods and territories, as well as cross-cultural trends in the demographic development of ancient populations. The planned outcome of the conference is to produce the most recent survey of archaeodemography, a field which has gained renewed attention during the past several years.

The proposed structure of the conference includes the following topics:

• Recent theoretical and methodological issues and advances in archaeodemography

• Archaeodemography: models, methods and simulations

• Archaeodemography: the bioarchaeological perspective

• Mathematical simulations and predictive modelling in archaeodemography

• Field data and their interpretation

The Volunteers team is comprised of students of archaeology at University of Rzeszów.
