Staż naukowo-badawczy doktoranta Szkoły Doktorskiej UR w ramach programu STER NAWA

Doktorant Szkoły Doktorskiej Uniwersytetu Rzeszowskiego w dyscyplinie filozofia, Pan mgr Szymon Góźdź, odbył we wrześniu 2026 roku miesięczny staż naukowo-badawczy w Institut für Osteuropäische Geschichte we współpracy z Centrum Badawczym „Religion and Transformation in Contemporary Society” (RaT) Uniwersytetu Wiedeńskiego. Wyjazd został zrealizowany w ramach projektu „UR an international PhD student” (program STER NAWA – umiędzynarodowienie szkół doktorskich).
„Filozoficzne doświadczenie sacrum w sztuce chrześcijańskiej (Granice rozumu i wiary)”, poświęconej dynamice relacji racjonalności i irracjonalności w doświadczeniu sacrum, w tym porównaniu wschodniej i zachodniej sztuki sakralnej. Doktorant prowadził kwerendę w zakresie materiału niedostępnego w Polsce, w zasobach m.in. Biblioteki Uniwersytetu Wiedeńskiego i RaT; odbył konsultacje z badaczami oraz z członkami i doktorantami Vienna Doctoral School of Theology and Research on Religion (VDTR) w ramach seminarium roboczego „Tydzień pisania” (14–18.09.2026), a także prowadził badania terenowe nad zróżnicowanymi pod względem socjokulturowym obiektami sztuki sakralnej w Wiedniu.
Rezultaty stażu wzbogaciły przygotowywaną rozprawę i stanowią integralną część badań Doktoranta.

A PhD student of Rzeszów University Doctoral School in the discipline of philosophy, Mr Szymon Góźdź, MA, completed a one-month research internship in September 2026 at the Institut für Osteuropäische Geschichte, in cooperation with the Research Centre “Religion and Transformation in Contemporary Society” (RaT), University of Vienna. The stay was carried out within the project “UR an international PhD student” (STER NAWA programme – internationalisation of doctoral schools).
The internship programme included becoming familiar with the standards of conducting scientific research currently in force at the University of Vienna – one of the leading European centres in the field of the Doctoral Student’s research – and deepening the theoretical part of his doctoral dissertation in preparation, entitled “The Philosophical Experience of the Sacred in Christian Art (The Limits of Reason and Faith)”, which is devoted to the dynamics of the relation between rationality and irrationality in the experience of the sacred, including a comparison of Eastern and Western sacred art. The Doctoral Student carried out research on materials unavailable in Poland, in the resources of, among others, the University of Vienna Library and RaT; held consultations with researchers and with members and doctoral students of the Vienna Doctoral School of Theology and Research on Religion (VDTR) within the working seminar “Writing Week” (14–18.09.2026); and conducted field research on sacred art sites in Vienna that are diverse in socio-cultural terms.
The results of the internship enriched the dissertation in preparation and form an integral part of the Doctoral Student’s research. The contacts established with RaT and VDTR and the planned continuation of scholarly cooperation contribute both to the Doctoral Student’s scientific development and to strengthening the internationalisation of research at the Doctoral School of the University of Rzeszów.
