The University of Rzeszów is honoured to invite you to participate in the international conference Improving European Universities: Gender (In)Equality in Academia.
This event marks a significant moment for our University, as we conclude the implementation of our first Gender Equality Plan (GEP) for the years 2022–2024 and prepare to launch a new plan for 2025–2028. We see this transition as an opportunity to engage in dialogue with representatives of other universities and higher education institutions across Europe, sharing experiences and insights related to the development and implementation of GEPs.
Gender Equality Plans are transforming European universities from within, fostering inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environments for all members of the academic community. Their preparation and execution pose complex challenges, requiring thoughtful collaboration and strategic planning. Through this conference, we aim to explore both overarching approaches to equality and safety policies in European academia, as well as specific issues related to the practical implementation of GEPs.
Conference Participation
There are two modes of participation:
- General attendance: Engage with keynote lectures, panel discussions, and workshops. This format offers a chance to learn from others, gain inspiration, and explore best practices from institutions across Europe.
- Presentation: Submit a proposal for a 20-minute presentation to share your experiences, research findings, or institutional practices related to gender equality in academia.
