Music in the Pedagogical, Social and Cultural Contexts. Studies and Sketches
The publishing series Music in the Pedagogical, Social and Cultural Context. Studies and Sketches, edited by Ewa Nidecka and Jolanta Wąsacz‑Krztoń and issued by the University of Rzeszów Press, encompasses a broad thematic framework that includes multidimensional issues related to music and its pedagogical, social, and cultural aspects. The series is characterized by its interdisciplinary nature, which results in diverse approaches to the topics discussed.
The research scope therefore covers various aspects of broadly understood knowledge about music—from issues of music education, through the role of music in society and in shaping civic and civilizational awareness. In addition, readers will find philosophical and aesthetic contexts of music, sketches devoted to outstanding educators and artists, as well as interpretations of selected musical works. Such a wide pedagogical, psychological, ethnomusicological, cultural, and historical‑analytical perspective provides an impulse to explore topics and contexts within the musical arts that have not yet been fully examined.
