Graduate Profile
A graduate of the Sound and Stage Lighting Production programme possesses theoretical knowledge of selected issues in acoustics and optics, along with practical skills derived from this knowledge, essential for artistic projects and enabling the effective use of technical means in sound and lighting production. The graduate has knowledge of the proper selection of stage system equipment and is able to configure complex sound reinforcement systems based on accurate power calculations and the technical parameters of electroacoustic transducers.
The graduate is prepared to provide audiovisual production for cultural events as well as digital sound processing and recording. They are capable of designing and implementing acoustic field adaptation, correctly selecting elements of electroacoustic systems based on the principles of physics, and performing sound signal conversion using specialised equipment and appropriate software.
The graduate is able to carry out recordings in studio and live (concert) conditions, provide sound reinforcement and lighting design for concerts of classical, popular, and electroacoustic music, and independently realise their own artistic concepts through studio recordings of classical, jazz, and popular music.
Additionally, the graduate has skills in sound processing using both analogue and digital techniques, sound editing, and comprehensive operation of lighting and sound reinforcement systems. They efficiently use software supporting sound reinforcement and stage lighting, as well as audiovisual production in multimedia creation. The graduate is proficient in operating Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), multi-track audio mixing software, and uses specialist terminology related to processes and equipment applied in the broadly understood field of sound and stage lighting production. The graduate demonstrates proficiency in a foreign language at a minimum level of B2.
