Legalising your stay in Poland – presentation for incoming Erasmus+ students

Barbara Jeżowska, PhD (International Relations Office, Welcome Point), gave a presentation that offered newly arrived students a practical overview of what they need to do after arriving in Rzeszów, including which documents to prepare and which offices to visit.

Since the procedures depend on a student's citizenship and the way they entered Poland, participants were divided into three working groups, each with its own tasks and deadlines:

•        Group A – EU, EEA and Swiss citizens, who register their address (meldunek) at the City Hall and register their stay at the Voivodeship Office after three months.

•        Group B – non-EU students who entered visa-free, who apply for a temporary residence permit for studies via the MOS online system before their 90 days of visa-free stay end.

•        Group C – non-EU students holding a national student visa (D), who apply for a residence permit in MOS only if their studies last longer than their visa.

Slide from the presentation: three groups, three paths.

For each group, the presentation went through the path step by step: address registration and the PESEL number, the official forms, and booking a visit at the Voivodeship Office. Students also learned which office handles which matter, how the university confirms their studies in the MOS system (Attachment No. 5), and where they can get help in Rzeszów.
