Interview

The interview with the candidate concerns general knowledge in the chosen scientific or artistic discipline and the scope of the research concept. The scope of the interview includes in particular general knowledge of the given discipline, knowledge of the subject matter of the research plan, the ability to define the concept of future research and the characteristics of scientific or artistic interests.

The candidate can receive 0–40 points for the interview. A minimum of 20 points is considered a positive result of the interview. Failure to obtain at least 20 points from the interview results in refusal of admission to the UR Doctoral School due to failure of the interview.

The interview is conducted in Polish or English, according to the candidate's preferences reported in the university recruitment system. In the case of choosing Polish, the interview may include a part conducted in English.

The interview with the candidate – with the consent of the candidate and members of the Recruitment Committee – is recorded. The right to listen to the recording of the interview with the candidate is held by:

  • the candidate;
  • members of the Recruitment Committee;
  • observers participating in the interview;
  • Director of the Doctoral School;
  • Rector of the University of Rzeszów.

The interview with the candidate may be attended as an observer without the possibility of speaking or voting:

  • Director of the Doctoral School;
  • a person indicated by the candidate as a potential supervisor;
  • a representative of the doctoral students indicated by the Doctoral Students' Government.
