Centre for Foreign Language Teaching and Certification
The Centre for Foreign Language Studies provides comprehensive language education and support for the academic community of the University. Its key areas of activity include:
- Language instruction in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Latin, and Russian for students across various faculties. The curriculum is tailored to the specific needs of each discipline, including specialist terminology relevant to individual fields of study.
- Delivery of paid language enhancement programmes, specialist language courses, and preparatory courses for international certification exams in English, German, French, and Russian.
- Operation of an accredited examination centre, offering TELC exams at levels B1, B2, and C1, as well as LCCI (London Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and TOLES (Test of Legal English Skills). As an official partner of ETS (Educational Testing Service), the Centre also administers TOEIC, TOEIC Bridge, TOEFL, TFI (Test de Français International), and WiDaF (Deutsch als Fremdsprache in der Wirtschaft) examinations.
- Conducting foreign language proficiency examinations for doctoral students and for individuals seeking professional specializations within public institutions.
- Collaboration with the Office of International Cooperation, preparing students for international internships and study programmes, and organizing specialized language courses for University staff within the framework of the Erasmus+ Staff and Student Mobility Programme.
- Provision of translation and linguistic support services for various University units, including assistance with the preparation of publications in foreign languages, organization of academic meetings and conferences involving international participants, and facilitation of contacts with prospective partner institutions abroad.
