We are commencing the construction of the new Medical Simulation Centre building at the University of Rzeszów
The University of Rzeszów has launched a key investment for the development of medical education – the construction of a new Medical Simulation Centre building, together with the modernisation of the existing facility and the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment.
On 15 September 2025, a ceremonial handover of the construction site combined with a press conference took place. The event was attended by representatives of the University of Rzeszów authorities, city officials, and members of parliament from the region. Together, they emphasised the importance of this investment for the development of the Medical College and the entire region.
During the event, a symbolic signing of the site handover document was carried out with the contractor – EUROBUD GRUPA Sp. z o.o. – followed by the ceremonial turning of the soil with shovels, officially marking the beginning of the construction works.
The new MSC building will be equipped with, among others: OSCE examination rooms, simulation rooms, including a pre-hospital laboratory featuring vehicle mock-ups and medical staging equipment. The modernisation of the existing facility and the acquisition of advanced equipment will enable students of medicine and other medical disciplines to train in conditions close to real-life practice, thereby raising the quality of education and allowing for an increased intake of students.
The project is being implemented with the support of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan under the initiative “Investments of the Collegium Medicum of the University of Rzeszów for the purposes of pre-clinical and clinical education”, with a total value exceeding PLN 78 million.
