On January 13, the Rector of the University of Rzeszów, Prof. Adam Reich, and the Director of the University Clinical Hospital in Rzeszów, Marcin Rusiniak, met at the Ministry of Health with Minister Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda, President of the National Health Fund Dr. Filip Nowak, and MPs Elżbieta Burkiewicz and Joanna Frydrych. The topics of discussion included the further development of healthcare in the Podkarpackie Province, the financing of medical services, and the role of the University Clinical Hospital in educating future medical personnel.

The further development of healthcare in the Podkarpackie Province and the current challenges related to the financing of medical services, as well as the role of the Fryderyk Chopin University Hospital in Rzeszów (USK in Rzeszów) in the education of future medical staff – these were the main topics of the meeting attended by the Minister of Health, Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda, the President of the National Health Fund, Dr. Filip Nowak, and MPs from the region, Elżbieta Burkiewicz and Joanna Frydrych.

An important element of the meeting was a discussion on the development of medical infrastructure, including the expansion of the USK in Rzeszów and the concept of building a modern university hospital in Świlcza.

“These measures will increase diagnostic and treatment capabilities and enable us to better respond to the healthcare needs of the residents of the Podkarpackie Province,” said Prof. Adam Reich, Rector of the University of Rzeszów.

At the same time, it was emphasized that infrastructure development must go hand in hand with stable financing of services and ensuring continuity of patient care.

“Our goal is to provide the region's residents with increasingly better access to modern treatment and to further strengthen the role of the hospital as a leading clinical center in the Podkarpackie Province,” said Marcin Rusiniak, Director of the USK in Rzeszów.
