On 28 May 2025, the University of Rzeszów hosted the Minister of Health, Izabela Leszczyna, who visited the Fryderyk Chopin University Clinical Hospital in Rzeszów and met with the Rector of the University of Rzeszów, Professor Adam Reich.

The visit was also attended by Members of the Polish Parliament: Mr Zbigniew Gawlik, Ms Krystyna Skowrońska, and Ms Katarzyna Kacperczyk – Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Health.

The primary purpose of the Minister’s visit was to discuss the planned construction of a new university hospital in Świlcza – an investment of strategic importance for the development of the University of Rzeszów’s clinical facilities and for the healthcare system in the region.

During the visit, the Minister held discussions with the Rector of the University and the Director of the University Clinical Hospital. She also signed the Rector’s guest book. The visit provided an opportunity to address key issues related to the development of the University of Rzeszów’s medical infrastructure and to present the University’s potential in training medical professionals, as well as in clinical and research activities.
