On January 15, the University of Rzeszów welcomed Dr. Marcin Kulask, Minister of Science and Higher Education, who visited our university for the first time. The Minister's visit to Rzeszów took place at the invitation of Teresa Kubas-Hul, Governor of Podkarpackie Province, and Wiesław Buż, Deputy Governor of Podkarpackie Province.

The Minister's visit was also an opportunity to meet with the authorities of the University of Rzeszów. The talks focused on key issues related to the development of science and higher education, including measures to support the University's research potential, strengthen the quality of education, and create conditions conducive to the development of young academic staff. Issues related to the role of regional universities in building a modern knowledge-based economy and the importance of cooperation with the socio-economic environment were also discussed.

During his visit, the minister signed the guest book of the University of Rzeszów.

The next item on the agenda was the Minister's participation in the opening of the Rzeszów University Museum, which is an important place documenting the history and achievements of the University, as well as a space presenting its development in the context of the region and the country.

Minister Marcin Kulasek also visited the University Athletics Center, where he met with the authorities of the Faculty of Physical Culture Sciences of the University of Rzeszów. During the visit, he familiarized himself with the progress of work related to the expansion of the facility. The investment carried out at UCL aims to further develop the sports infrastructure and create conditions that will allow the center to fully function as the Podkarpackie Academic Sports Center.

The visit of the Minister of Science and Higher Education to the University of Rzeszów was an opportunity to summarize the activities carried out so far, present the most important initiatives of the University, and discuss the prospects for the development of science, teaching, and academic infrastructure in the region.
