In October 2025, the results of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026 were announced. For the first time, the University of Rzeszów was included among the universities evaluated worldwide, being placed in the 1501+ band.

This year’s edition featured 41 universities from Poland, including 13 classical universities. The inclusion of the University of Rzeszów in this group reflects its compliance with the ranking’s methodological requirements and the growing international recognition of our University.

Methodology The THE ranking evaluates universities across five key areas:

• Teaching • Research Environment • Research Quality • International Outlook • Industry

The University of Oxford ranked first, followed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The highest-ranked Polish universities were the Jagiellonian University and the Wrocław Medical University (band 501–600), as well as the University of Warsaw (band 601–800).
