University of Rzeszów Awarded Grant from the Budget of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship

The University of Rzeszów has received a targeted grant of PLN 420,000 from the budget of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship for the implementation of a project entitled “Purchase of teaching equipment at the University of Rzeszów for the degree programmes: Sound and Stage Lighting Production and Physiotherapy (Programme in Engilsh)”.

The agreement for the funding was signed on behalf of the Rector of the University by the Vice-Rector for Finance and Development, Associate Professor Józef Cebulski.

The funds will be allocated to two main objectives:

  • A professional sound laboratory – with funding of PLN 206,000;
  • Modern equipment for physiotherapy – with funding of PLN 214,000.

The sound laboratory will be equipped with specialised audio equipment, primarily intended for students of the new degree programme Sound and Stage Lighting Production, run by the Faculty of Music. This investment will enable students to acquire practical skills in sound recording, editing, and mixing, as well as working with lighting technologies. Classes will be delivered in a workshop format, simulating real-world conditions of the creative and stage industries. The equipment will also be used in artistic projects and in collaboration with partners from the cultural and arts education sectors.

The purchase of state-of-the-art physiotherapy equipment will enhance the teaching facilities of the Physiotherapy (Programme in English) programme, allowing for the delivery of courses using the latest technologies in diagnostics and therapy. The new resources will contribute to improving the quality of education in line with international educational standards.

The awarded grant supports the development of teaching at both the Faculty of Music and the Faculty of Health Sciences and Psychology, and also serves as a recognition of the University’s long-standing contribution to the development of the Physiotherapy programme, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2025.

It is worth noting that this year’s funding is over 20% higher than in the previous year.
