On January 30, 2026, a cooperation agreement was signed between the University of Rzeszów and the 3rd Podkarpackie Territorial Defense Brigade. The agreement is an important step towards strengthening cooperation between the academic community and the Territorial Defense Forces.

The agreement was signed by the Rector of the University of Rzeszów, Prof. Adam Reich, and the Commander of the 3rd Podkarpackie Territorial Defense Brigade, Col. Michał Małyska. The aim of the cooperation is to undertake joint activities for the defense of the state, the patriotic education of academic youth, and the shaping of a positive image of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland.

The cooperation will include, among other things, the implementation of joint pro-social and pro-educational projects, the organization of conferences, scientific seminars, workshops, training courses, and educational events in the field of security and defense. The parties also declare their cooperation in promoting patriotic and pro-defense attitudes among students and integrating the military and academic communities.

The signing of the agreement creates new opportunities for cooperation in the areas of security, education, and civic attitudes, and contributes to building lasting relations between the University of Rzeszów and the Territorial Defense Forces.
