On 28 May 2025, the Rector of the University of Rzeszów, Professor Adam Reich, and the Podkarpackie Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service, Brigadier General Tomasz Baran, signed a cooperation agreement between the University of Rzeszów and the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service (PSP) in Rzeszów.

The agreement provides for joint educational, training, and research activities, the organisation of scientific conferences and seminars, as well as opportunities for UR students to undertake internships and study visits at PSP units. It also includes the exchange of informational and scientific materials, and the participation of PSP representatives in events organised by the University.

The signing of this document strengthens the relationship between the academic community and public services. The cooperation aims to promote joint initiatives for the benefit of the region’s inhabitants and the development of modern safety standards.
