The Rector of the University of Rzeszów honored students from BON for their sporting achievements.

On February 5, 2026, the Rector of the University of Rzeszów, Prof. Adam Reich, presented letters of congratulations to students supported by the Office for Persons with Disabilities at the University of Rzeszów BON who had achieved significant sporting success at the national level.

It was an opportunity to honor the determination, hard work, and sporting passion of students representing the University of Rzeszów during the AZS Polish Integration Championships. The Rector congratulated the distinguished athletes on their achievements, emphasizing the importance of sport in personal development and in building perseverance and consistency in pursuing goals. The meeting was attended by Dr. Iwona Tabaczek-Bejster, Prof. UR, Rector's Representative for Persons with Disabilities, who supports students under the care of BON on a daily basis, ensures the creation of friendly study conditions, and actively accompanies them in developing both their academic and athletic potential.

Congratulatory letters were received by:

  • Jakub Balawejder – for winning gold medals in Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding during the AZS Polish Integration Championships,
  • Patryk Bem – for winning a bronze medal in Table Tennis during the AZS Polish Integration Championships
  • Anna Bober – for winning a bronze medal in table tennis at the AZS Polish Integration Championships
  • Michał Gorczyca – for winning a bronze medal in table tennis at the AZS Polish Integration Championships
  • Martyna Sarzyńska – for winning a silver medal in canoeing and rowing ergometer at the AZS Polish Integration Championships.

The Rector of the University of Rzeszów expressed his appreciation to the students, wishing them further sporting success, perseverance in pursuing their passions, and satisfaction from the challenges they undertake – both in the field of sport and academia.
