The Mayor of Rzeszów, Konrad Fijołek, presented His Magnificence the Rector of the University of Rzeszów, Prof. Adam Reich, with a special gift received from Foshan University in China. The gift was entrusted to the Mayor during his visit to China, with a request that he pass it on to the authorities of the University of Rzeszów.

This gesture is symbolic and represents a step towards establishing cooperation between the University of Rzeszów and Foshan University – a rapidly developing public university located in Guangdong Province.

Foshan University is a multi-disciplinary institution of higher education, whose origins date back to 1958. It currently educates tens of thousands of students and employs over a thousand academic staff, developing its activities in fields such as engineering, medicine, natural sciences, social sciences and the humanities. The university has three campuses and operates as a modern academic centre with strong research and teaching facilities.

The University of Rzeszów extends its sincere thanks to the Mayor of Rzeszów, Konrad Fiołek, for his donation and for his commitment to developing international relations, which open up new prospects for scientific and academic cooperation for our University.
