Students for Health. Student conference entitled ‘Between the norm and self-destruction’ at the University of Rzeszów
On 13–14 May 2026, the St Hedwig the Queen Lecture Theatre at the University of Rzeszów hosted a nationwide student academic conference entitled “Between the Norm and Self-Destruction: The Health of the Young Generation in a World of Trends”, organised as part of the “Students for Health” project by the Independent Students’ Association. The event focused on issues of mental health, addiction and the physical health of the young generation.
The first day of the conference was expert-led. Participants listened to presentations by specialists, practitioners and individuals who shared their own experiences related to the issues under discussion. The programme also included panel discussions, artistic performances and meetings with representatives from the academic, sporting and artistic communities. Speakers included DON DIEGO, Kolah, Artur Kauf, Dr Krzysztof Balawender, Professor at the University of Rzeszów, Dr Ewa Barnaś-Baran, Bartłomiej Borys, Dr Jarosław Kinal, Dr Jarosław Herbert and Adam Przychodzki.
On the second day, the floor was given to students and young conference participants, who presented their papers both in person and online. The event provided a space for the exchange of experiences, reflection and discussion on the challenges facing today’s young people.
An accompanying feature of the conference was an exhibition of paintings displayed in the main hall of Building A1 at the University of Rzeszów.
