On April 9th, 2025, the conference titled "Stress – Friend or Foe? Eliminating Psychosocial Risks, including Mobbing" was held in Rzeszów, organised by the District Labour Inspectorate in Rzeszów in collaboration with the University of Rzeszów. The aim of the event was to familiarize employers and employees with methods of preventing and combating psychosocial risks in the workplace.

The conference was attended by representatives of public administration, local authorities, the University of Rzeszów’s governing bodies, entrepreneurs, employers, academic staff, and students. The Chief Labour Inspector, Marcin Stanecki, emphasized the growing prevalence of psychosocial risks, such as bullying, and assured that the State Labour Inspectorate treats the elimination of these risks as a priority for 2025.

“This year, the State Labour Inspectorate aims to focus particularly on psychosocial risks at work. We want to highlight workplace violence, especially bullying. This toxic atmosphere at work is becoming increasingly common,” emphasized Marcin Stanecki, Chief Labour Inspector.

According to the State Labour Inspectorate, in 2024 alone, the District Labour Inspectorate in Rzeszów, including branches in Krosno, Tarnobrzeg, and Przemyśl, received a total of 1,943 complaints and requests, 125 of which concerned bullying and 40 involved discrimination.

The Rector of the University of Rzeszów, Professor Adam Reich, emphasized the importance of organizing such events within the university premises, as the university provides a platform for addressing difficult topics.

“I am very pleased that this conference is taking place at the University because this is my main message as Rector — to make the university a platform for exchanging ideas and discussing difficult subjects,” stated Rector.

The event was attended by members of parliament Zdzisław Gawlik and Adam Dziedzic, representatives of the Podkarpackie regional authorities, including Deputy Voivode Wiesław Buż, Deputy Marshal Karol Ożóg, and Rzeszów County Mayor Krzysztof Jarosz; representatives from District Labour Inspectorates across the country, higher education institutions, public administration bodies, law enforcement agencies, local government offices from the region, trade union representatives, as well as entrepreneurs and employees.

Additionally, the Chief Labour Inspector Marcin Stanecki met with students from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Rzeszów.
