Promotion of the University of Rzeszów in a Prestigious Ranking - Center for World University Rankings (CWUR)

We are pleased to announce that the University of Rzeszów has been included in the elite top 9% of universities worldwide, according to the latest edition of the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR).

Compared to the previous year, our university has moved up by 63 positions in the global ranking.

  • Global ranking: up from 1958th to 1895th place
  • National ranking (Poland): up from 41st to 37th place

This achievement is the result of improved performance in both education and research. The key contributing factors to this advancement include:

  1. Education: Academic achievements of our students.
  2. Employability: Career success of our graduates.
  3. Faculty: Number of academic community members who have received high-level academic distinctions.
  4. Research:
    • Research output: Total number of published scientific articles.
    • High-quality publications: Articles published in top-tier journals.
    • Influence: Publications in high-impact journals.
    • Citations: Number of frequently cited scientific papers.

"This is a source of satisfaction and a strong motivation for continued work. The rise in the CWUR international ranking shows that the University of Rzeszów is increasingly making its mark on the global academic map," said Professor Adam Reich, Rector of the University of Rzeszów.

Additional ranking facts:

  • Total number of institutions assessed: approximately 20,000 universities worldwide
  • Number of ranked universities: only the top 2,000 were included in the final list
  • Poland’s representation: only 40 Polish universities made it into the ranking

For our 25-year-old university, this result is a promising sign for the future.
