Professor Paweł Grata appointed to the Main Board of the Polish Historical Society

On Saturday, 13 September 2025, the General Assembly of Delegates of the Polish Historical Society took place in Warsaw. The Society, founded in 1886 in Lviv “with the aim of stimulating and supporting the development of historical sciences”, has a long and distinguished tradition.

As a result of the elections, Professor Paweł Grata, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Rzeszów, was appointed as a member of the Main Board of the Polish Historical Society.

In this way, after many years of absence, the historical research community in Rzeszów will once again have its representative in the governing body of this highly respected association, which plays an important role in both academic and social life.

The newly elected President of the Main Board is Professor Robert Litwiński from the Institute of History at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.

Our warmest congratulations!
