Professor Beata Stępień-Załucka to Deliver Guest Lectures in the United States

At the invitation of American legal professionals, Professor Beata Stępień-Załucka will represent the University of Rzeszów during her upcoming visit to the United States.

The lectures are being organized by two prominent American legal associations. For the Polish-American Judges Association, Professor Stępień-Załucka will present a lecture on “Ukrainian Refugees in Poland: Three Years After the Outbreak of the War in Ukraine”, focusing on the legal status and challenges faced by Ukrainian refugees in Poland. For The Advocates Society, she will speak on “The Impact of AI on Democracy & the Judiciary”, addressing the growing influence of artificial intelligence on democratic systems and judicial processes.

This visit is part of a longstanding collaboration with the American legal community, which for many years has included study visits and academic conferences. The partnership has led to lectures and expert meetings held in courts and legal institutions in Chicago, as well as guest lectures by Professor Stępień-Załucka at institutions such as Rutgers University in New York.

Notably, it also resulted in a visit by American judges to Poland in 2024.
