Professor Beata Stępień-Załucka Honored Twice in the United States

Between April 29 and May 5, 2025, Dr hab. Beata Stępień-Załucka, Professor at the University of Rzeszów, visited the United States, where she delivered two distinguished lectures.

During her address to the Polish-American Judges Association titled “Ukrainian Refugees in Poland: Three Years After the Outbreak of the War in Ukraine,” Professor Stępień-Załucka was awarded for her significant contribution to the protection and advancement of human rights.

She was also honored by The Advocates Society in Chicago following her lecture “The Impact of AI on Democracy & The Judiciary,” which focused on the transformative effects of artificial intelligence on democratic institutions and judicial systems. The award recognized her efforts in promoting human rights, equality, and justice.

Her visit to the United States also provided an opportunity for a series of high-level discussions and exchanges of views. Among those she met were Regina Jurkowska, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Chicago, and Serhiy Koledov, Consul General of Ukraine in Chicago. She also engaged in dialogue with American legal professionals on the potential applications of AI within the judiciary.
