National Workshop “Women in Robotics” Launched at the F. Chopin University Clinical Hospital in Rzeszów
On April 7, the F. Chopin University Clinical Hospital in Rzeszów hosted the official opening of the nationwide workshop “Women in Robotics.”
The event was inaugurated by the Rector of the University of Rzeszów, Professor Adam Reich together with Professor Tomasz Kluz, Head of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the F. Chopin University Clinical Hospital.
The workshop brings together five specialists in gynecology from various medical centers across Poland. It serves as a platform for exchanging professional experiences and fostering dialogue on the advancement of women in medicine, particularly in the field of surgery. Participants will also explore the ongoing challenges and barriers that continue to hinder women's career development in surgical disciplines.
The training program includes in-depth discussions on the specifics of robotic-assisted procedures, including their challenges and benefits. Operating teams will demonstrate the technical capabilities of the surgical robot, while participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on training at the console, enhancing their visuomotor coordination.
The event is co-organized by the Women in Surgery Foundation and Synektik—the exclusive distributor of the da Vinci robotic system in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and the Baltic countries.
