Meeting of the Rector of the University of Rzeszów with Ján Figeľ, Member of the Governing Board of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT)

On May 7, the Rector of the University of Rzeszów, Professor Adam Reich met with Ján Figeľ, a member of the Governing Board of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and former European Commissioner for Entrepreneurship and the Information Society. The primary focus of the discussion was the potential for future collaboration between the University of Rzeszów and the EIT.

Established in 2008 as an independent body of the European Union, the EIT aims to enhance Europe’s innovation capacity by integrating education, research, and entrepreneurship. The Institute supports dynamic pan-European partnerships known as Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs), which address major societal challenges such as climate change, public health, digitalization, and sustainable energy.

Joining one of the EIT’s KICs would open up new opportunities for the University of Rzeszów in the areas of research, education, and technology transfer. Participation in EIT programs provides access to international partner networks, financial support, and specialized master's and doctoral programs that combine academic excellence with entrepreneurial skills.
