On 21 October 2025, the Faculty of Exact and Technical Sciences hosted an event entitled the UR Idea Zone.

The UR Idea Zone is intended as a space for creating a modern, inspiring environment for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and scientific, science-and-technology, advisory and educational activity, as well as for prototyping and implementing innovative projects at the interface of academia, business and local government.

During the event, short talks were delivered by: Dr Paweł Wais – Director of the Department of Regional Development; Mr Mariusz Bednarz – President of RARR S.A.; Mr Łukasz Gajdowski – President of ARR MARR; Ms Timea Sulenta-Pluta – Programme Director at PCI Sp. z o.o.; and Associate Professor Grzegorz Wisz – Vice-Dean for Cooperation with the Socio-Economic Environment and for Promotion and Image of the Faculty of Exact and Technical Sciences.

The UR Idea Zone also provided an opportunity to present the Dean’s Certificates of Recognition to the Faculty’s best graduates and distinctions to Faculty staff for promotional activities in support of the University of Rzeszów.

The event culminated in the ceremonial signing of the agreement entitled the Idea Zone of the University of Rzeszów, whose signatories were:

– Associate Professor Barbara Pękala – Faculty of Exact and Technical Sciences, University of Rzeszów;
– Dr Paweł Wais – Podkarpackie Voivodeship, Department of Regional Development;
– Timea Sulenta-Pluta – Podkarpackie Centre for Innovation Sp. z o.o.;
– Mariusz Bednarz – Rzeszów Regional Development Agency S.A.;
– Łukasz Gajdowski – MARR Regional Development Agency S.A.
