Gold Medal for the University of Rzeszów

We are pleased to announce that staff members of the Faculty of Medicine, Medical College at the University of Rzeszów have been awarded a gold medal at the 18th International Invention and Innovation Fair INTARG® 2025 for their invention titled “Cytisine in the Development Pathway of a New Prolonged-Release Medicinal Product” in the “HEALTH – MEDICINE” category.


 

This innovative solution was developed as part of a project funded with the amount of PLN 14,247,552.50 by the Medical Research Agency. The project received financial support in a competition for scientific institutions aimed at conducting application-oriented biomedical research (2024/ABM/03/KPO) under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO), Component D – Efficiency, Availability and Quality of the Healthcare System, Investment D3.1.1: Comprehensive Development of Research in Medical and Health Sciences (project no. KPOD.07.07-IW.07-0142/24).

The research team was represented at the international fair by:

  • Associate Professor Anna Czerniecka-Kubica (project leader)
  • Dr Karol Wróblewski (lead researcher)
