“Fashion for the Polish Language” Wins the Audience Vote

With joy and pride, we are pleased to announce that during the jubilee 25th edition of the Master of the Polish Language gala, held on Saturday, 27 September 2025, in Dębica, the TVP3 Rzeszów programme Fashion for the Polish Language (Moda na język polski) won in the Vox Populi: Master of the Polish Language category, recognised for its dedication to promoting care for the Polish language.

The programme is created by Adam Bienias, a graduate in Polish Philology from the University of Rzeszów and an Ambassador of the University of Rzeszów, with contributions from professors of our University: Professor Kazimierz Ożóg – linguist, advocate of linguistic politeness and promoter of communicative comfort in every verbal interaction, and Professor Joanna Rusin – literary scholar, expert and enthusiast of the literature and culture of the Positivist period.

Fashion for the Polish Language can be watched on TVP3 Rzeszów every Sunday at 4:50 p.m. and Monday at 5:30 p.m., or online at https://rzeszow.tvp.pl/45667520/moda-na-jezyk-polski.

The announcement of nominations in the Master of the Polish Language plebiscite took place on 8 July 2025 at the Palace of the Commonwealth in Warsaw. From that moment on, internet users, readers and radio listeners were invited to cast their votes for their favourites. However, the idea behind the programme is not only to honour those who use language correctly and creatively, but also to encourage Poles to cherish the tradition of beautiful Polish speech.

It is worth adding that Dr Justyna Majchrowska from the Institute of Polish Studies and Journalism of the University of Rzeszów served as a member of the Programme Council for this year’s edition of the competition.
