Education and Nature Protection: University of Rzeszów and the Landscape Parks Complex in Przemyśl Join Forces

A cooperation agreement between the University of Rzeszów and the Landscape Parks Complex in Przemyśl was officially signed at the university’s headquarters. The document outlines the principles of joint initiatives within the framework of the project “Excellent Podkarpacie – Comprehensive Environmental Research at the University of Rzeszów for the Benefit of the Region,” implemented under the “Regional Initiative of Excellence” program.

The agreement provides for collaborative research activities, the organization of public lectures, seminars, conferences, and workshops involving experts from both institutions. The partners have also committed to implementing projects focused on environmental protection and promoting the natural assets of the region. In addition, the cooperation will include educational and outreach initiatives aimed at local communities.

A key aspect of the partnership is the strengthening of the scientific and educational capacities of both parties. This includes the development of internships, student placements, and collaborative projects—particularly beneficial for students pursuing degrees in natural sciences, biology, and environmental protection.

The agreement was signed on behalf of the University by Rector Professor Adam Reich, and on behalf of the Landscape Parks Complex by Acting Director Dariusz Kozik, MSc Eng.
