Conference of business representatives from Poland, Ukraine and China at the University of Rzeszów
On 10 June 2026, a conference was held at the University of Rzeszów with the participation of representatives of business communities from Poland, Ukraine and China. The event provided an important platform for international dialogue, enabling the exchange of experience, the establishment of business contacts, and the search for new opportunities for economic, trade and institutional cooperation.
The conference was opened by His Magnificence Rector, Professor Adam Reich, who warmly welcomed the guests to the University of Rzeszów and emphasized the importance of international academic and business meetings for the development of cooperation between universities, business environment institutions and entrepreneurs. This was followed by a presentation by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Finance of the University of Rzeszów, Assoc. Prof. Bogdan Wierzbiński, Professor of the University of Rzeszów, who provided a brief overview of the economic potential and development opportunities of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. In his address, he highlighted the region’s strategic location, its growing economic importance, academic potential, and opportunities for cooperation in the areas of business, investment and innovation.
The conference was attended by a 37-member Economic and Trade Delegation from Foshan, representing business circles, chambers of commerce and organizations supporting the development of international cooperation. The meeting created a space for discussions on the potential for cooperation between entrepreneurs from Poland, Ukraine and China, with particular emphasis on trade and investment relations as well as the exchange of experience in the development of entrepreneurship.
Among the participants were representatives of Chinese economic organizations and enterprises, including:
- Yu Xuebin – Chairman of the Home Furnishing and Building Materials Industry Committee of the Foshan International Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of Nature Home (China) Co., Ltd.
- Li De – Chairman of the Foshan International Chamber of Commerce.
- Guo Pengxiang – CEO of SKYFORGE TRADING and Representative of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Guangdong Province.
- Long Jiangang – Chief Strategic Advisor of the Foshan Enterprise Confederation and Foshan Entrepreneurs Association.
- The Ukrainian side was represented, among others, by:
- Valerii Korol – Vice-President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- Mykola Yaroshchuk – President of the Rivne Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- Vitalii Kyrychuk – Vice-President of the Volyn Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- Yuliia Chashchina – Expert on Cooperation with China.
- Oksana Osmachko – Vice-President of the Ukraine-China Business Council.
During the conference, the importance of international cooperation was emphasized in the context of dynamic economic changes and the growing need to build lasting relations between enterprises, business environment institutions and the academic community. Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of developing economic contacts between regions, supporting export and import activities, and creating space for cooperation in the areas of investment, innovation and knowledge exchange.
As the host of the event, the University of Rzeszów provided a platform for dialogue between representatives of business, chambers of commerce and institutions supporting the development of international cooperation. The conference forms part of the University’s activities aimed at internationalization, strengthening relations with foreign partners, and building bridges between science, business and economic administration.
The meeting was also an opportunity to present the potential of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship as a region open to economic and international cooperation. Participants emphasized the need to further develop direct contacts between entrepreneurs and economic organizations from Poland, Ukraine and China.
The conference concluded with a declaration to continue dialogue and develop cooperation in further areas. The event confirmed that the University of Rzeszów can play an important role as a meeting place for representatives of science, business and international institutions, fostering the creation of new economic and partnership initiatives.
