Associate Professor Aneta Bylak at the University of Rzeszów, Awarded the Title of Certified Senior Ecologist by the Ecological Society of America
We are pleased to announce that the title of Certified Senior Ecologist by the Ecological Society of America has been awarded to Associate Professor Aneta Bylak at the University of Rzeszów and a member of the Faculty of Technology and Life Sciences. This prestigious distinction recognises professional ecologists who are acknowledged at the international level for their contributions to the field. The Ecological Society of America grants the CSE title to individuals with outstanding academic qualifications and experience in ecology. The title signifies recognition of long-standing contributions to research, scientific publications, education, and the practical application of ecological knowledge.
The Ecological Society of America (ESA) is one of the largest and most influential scientific organisations in the world dedicated to ecology. Established in 1915 in the United States, the ESA brings together scientists, researchers, and professionals working in the areas of ecosystems, biodiversity, and environmental protection. The Society promotes the advancement of ecology through scientific publications, conferences, educational activities, and support for evidence-based environmental policies.
Environmental changes — as addressed by the media, the public, and policymakers — are complex and have far-reaching impacts on politics, the economy, and the local and regional use of natural resources. Ecology as a science is essential for understanding our changing environment and for proposing and assessing potential solutions to the challenges we face today. Supporting the integration of ecological principles and concepts into decision-making processes within environmental protection and resource management agencies, applied research laboratories, governmental and non-governmental organisations, foundations, and other institutions requires the expertise of highly qualified ecologists.
We extend our sincere congratulations to Professor Bylak on receiving this distinguished honour.
