On 20 October 2025, the University of Rzeszów hosted His Excellency Professor Anastase Shyaka, Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to Poland.

The visit began with a meeting in the office of His Magnificence, the Rector of the University of Rzeszów, during which possibilities for cooperation between the University of Rzeszów and institutions in Rwanda were discussed. The talks covered, among other things, academic exchange, scientific research and potential joint educational initiatives.

The Ambassador then met students and staff of the University during a public lecture. In his address, Professor Anastase Shyaka outlined information about Rwanda, its development potential and the challenges facing the country. He also spoke about diplomacy and international relations, sharing insights from his diplomatic and academic work.

The event also marked the launch of the “Podkarpackie Forum of Diplomacy” project, implemented by the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Rzeszów. The initiative aims to foster international dialogue and broaden students’ knowledge of foreign policy and intercultural cooperation.
