AI Under the Experts’ Lens. Rzeszów AI Summit 2025: Science, Law and Innovation in the World of Artificial Intelligence

On 23 September 2025, Rzeszów became the stage for one of the most important debates on the future of technology. Within the walls of the University of Rzeszów, the region’s first interdisciplinary conference dedicated to artificial intelligence – Rzeszów AI Summit 2025 – took place.

The conference was opened by the Rector of the University of Rzeszów, Professor Adam Reich who emphasised the University’s role in shaping modern directions of research and development. During the plenary session, distinguished specialists took the floor: Professor Magdalena Słok-Wódkowska, Professor Michał Jackowski, Dr Aleksandra Bar, Professor Regina Hučková, Professor Rafał Scherer, Associate Professor Adrian Horzyk (AGH University of Science and Technology), and Reverend Professor Józef Kloch.

In just a few short years, artificial intelligence has ceased to be a futuristic curiosity and has become a tool that is transforming the way we work, learn, heal, and also create and apply the law. From mobile phone applications to advanced medical systems, AI is already permeating every sphere of our lives. The conference in Rzeszów provided a forum where scientists, lawyers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and representatives of public administration came together to address a fundamental question: where is this revolution heading, and how can we make wise use of it?

The programme included both a plenary session and thematic panels. Discussions revolved around the applications of artificial intelligence in:

  • law and public administration,
  • science and education,
  • medicine and the natural sciences,
  • business and industry.

The conference at the University of Rzeszów marks only the beginning of a broader debate on the role of artificial intelligence in our lives. The organisers stress their ambition for the event to become a recurring forum, bringing experts, practitioners, and all those interested in the future of technology to Rzeszów each year.
