The University of Rzeszów, Fundacja Poland Help (Poland Help Foundation) and Fundacja Charytatywna Poland Helps Ukraina (Poland Helps Ukraine Charitable Foundation) have entered into a cooperation whose primary aim is joint action in support of humanitarian and aid initiatives. The parties have also declared cooperation for the comprehensive development and security of the Podkarpackie region, with the active involvement of the University’s students and staff.

The cooperation agreement was formally signed by the Rector of the University of Rzeszów and Jerzy Jurczyński, a Member of the Management Board of the Foundation. The agreement opens a new chapter in the University’s social and scholarly engagement, combining academic potential with the experience of non-governmental organisations in work for the common good.

As part of the cooperation, the parties plan joint initiatives in civil defence and crisis management, as well as projects aimed at the development of rehabilitation, prosthetics, tactical medicine, crisis psychology, psychological support and art therapy. This is only a portion of the wide scope of activities they intend to carry out together. The parties have also expressed their readiness to undertake joint endeavours for the comprehensive development and security of the Podkarpackie region, including by engaging University of Rzeszów students and staff in educational, research and practical activities. The initiative is designed to strengthen cooperation between academia, society and the NGO sector, creating space for the exchange of experience and for the delivery of projects of social importance.

The signed agreement is an example of how the academic community and the non-governmental sector can join forces to support initiatives that bring real assistance to people in need, both in Poland and beyond its borders.
