XVIII Rzeszów Young Physicists Conference - Edition 2025

The XVIII edition of the Rzeszów Conference of Young Physicists was held at the Faculty of Exact and Technical  Sciences of the University of Rzeszów on 29-30 May 2025. The event was organised by the UR Scientific Circle of Physicists, and the theme of this year's edition is 'Combining disciplines, discovering horizons', reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of physics and its connections to engineering, nanotechnology, chemistry, medicine, biology, IT, social sciences, and even music and art.

The conference is held under the patronage of the Doctoral School of the University of Rzeszów, the Polish Association of Physical Students, the Polish Physical Society (Rzeszów branch), the Subcarpathian Renewable Energy Cluster. The Doctoral and Student Government of the University of Rzeszów, Visum Clinic, "the Dark Glass" - Optical salon,  and Non-Public Healthcare Institution - "EYE Care Centre"

This year’s edition brought together 43 participants — students and doctoral candidates representing numerous academic institutions from across Poland and abroad. In addition to the University of Rzeszów and Rzeszów University of Technology, the following institutions were represented:

  • Jagiellonian University

  • AGH University of Science and Technology

  • The Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences

  • University of Silesia

  • Nicolaus Copernicus University

  • University of Warsaw

  • Adam Mickiewicz University

  • Jan Długosz University

  • University of Wrocław and Wrocław University of Science and Technology

  • Jan Kochanowski University

International participants came from:

  • Austin Peay State University (Clarksville, USA)

  • Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (Rajasthan, India)

  • South China Normal University (Guangzhou, China)

The scientific works presented by the conference participants were interdisciplinary in nature and covered areas such as: elementary particle physics, condensed matter physics, quantum mechanics, Fourier and Raman spectroscopy, superconductivity, physiotherapy, medicine, materials engineering, perovskite materials, optical materials, and virtual reality. The research findings were presented in the form of oral presentations and posters.

We are pleased to observe how the Rzeszów Conference of Young Physicists brings together young researchers from various scientific disciplines and academic communities, thereby contributing to the growing recognition of our Alma Mater. We already warmly invite you to the next edition of the conference, to be held next year — we hope to once again create a space for inspiring encounters, fruitful discussions, and the building of valuable scientific relationships.
