"The complementarity of renewable energy sources, energy cooperatives, and nuclear power in shaping a stable energy system"

During the 10th Conference “Energy Security – Pillars and Development Perspectives” Vice-Dean for External Relations and Faculty Outreach, dr hab. Grzegorz Wisz, prof. UR spoke about the complementarity of renewable energy sources, energy cooperatives, and nuclear power in shaping a stable energy system.

The 10th Conference, titled “Energy Security – Pillars and Development Prospects,” was held from September 8th to 9th, 2025, at Ignacy Łukasiewicz Rzeszów University of Technology (Building V, 12 Powstańców Warszawy Avenue, Rzeszów).

This anniversary edition marked one of the most significant events in Poland’s energy sector, serving as a platform for dialogue among representatives of public administration, business, non-governmental organizations, academic community and the media. The conference was organized by Ignacy Łukasiewicz Institute for Energy Policy and Ignacy Łukasiewicz Rzeszów University of Technology. The aim of the event was to contribute to scientific and expert discussions on energy policy, energy security, and the broader energy sector. The conference addressed key topics such as: challenges of the energy transition in the context of system security and resilience; the role of emerging technologies in strengthening energy infrastructure including drones, cybersecurity, aviation fuels, and the local dimension of energy security.
