Publication by scientists from University of Rzeszow and ML System company presenting coatings with high antibacterial effectiveness in applications on glass glued to touch displays of smartphones and smartwatches
Scientists from Institute of Physics and Institute of Materials Engineering (Faculty of Exact and Technical Sciences), Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Biotechnology and ML System company have produced a coating with high antibacterial efficiency in applications on glass glued to touch displays of smartphones and smartwatches. Coatings based on titanium dioxide doped with silver and platinum are characterized by over 90% antibacterial efficiency compared to coatings available on the market with an efficiency of 30-60% in reduction of S. aureus bacteria. The antibacterial effect of the coatings is activated by visible light and by the release of silver ions. The produced nanocomposite has hydrophilic properties and provides protection against mechanical damage to touch displays.
We invite companies interested in implementing the coating into industrial production, directly or through an implementation grant, and to cooperate with us.
