We are delighted to inform you that Piotr Pusz, PhD a staff member of the Institute of Computer Science, has taken 1st place in the Nowiny 2025 Educational Poll in the Academic Teacher category in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Piotr Pusz, PhD and wish him continued success in his professional career.

Piotr Pusz, PhD graduated from the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics. He earned his doctoral dissertation with honours at Łódź University of Technology and completed Executive Master of Business Administration (Executive MBA) postgraduate studies at the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He has 44 years experience in teaching. He is the author and co‑author of books and academic materials for students. He took the second place in 2011 and 2012 in the ‘Super Lecturer’ poll organised by the daily newspaper Supernowości and the magazine Ludzie Sukcesu. In 2008, he received the University of Rzeszów Student Award. He is a co-author of the curriculum for computer science and econometrics. He is also a co-creator, coordinator and implementer of six projects dedicated to the academic community, funded by the European Union. He co‑created and he was the head of nine editions of postgraduate studies in mathematics. He was the Vice‑Dean of the Faculty of Exact and Technical Sciences and was the head of the Financial Mathematics Laboratory at the same Faculty. He is a member of the Regional Committee of the Mathematical Olympiad in Rzeszów.
