On 12th June 2025, the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Rzeszów will host the 5th conference for secondary school students and teachers in the series ‘Faces of Mathematics’. The theme of this year's conference is related to the figure of Professor Andrzej Schinzl, a prominent mathematician born in Sandomierz, who dealt with number theory. The conference is organised by the Institute of Mathematics of the University of Rzeszów, the Subcarpathian Centre for Teachers' Education, the Subcarpathian Branch of the Mathematics Teachers' Association and the Rzeszów Branch of the Polish Mathematical Society. During the conference, diplomas, prizes and distinctions will be awarded to the winners of the 24th Franciszek Leja Subcarpathian Mathematics Contest. The conference will be accompanied by a presentation of the activities of the Student Scientific Circle of Mathematicians.
