On May 28–29, 2026, the 19th edition of the Rzeszów Conference of Young Physicists took place at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Rzeszów. The event was organized by the Scientific Circle of Physicists of the University of Rzeszów, with the support of staff from the Institute of Physical Sciences at the University of Rzeszów. Its main theme, "Between Theory and Observation," reflected the conference's focus and formed part of the celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the University of Rzeszów.

The conference was held under the patronage of:

• the National Representation of Doctoral Students,
• the Agreement of Doctoral Students of Natural Sciences Universities,
• the Doctoral School of the University of Rzeszów,
• the Polish Association of Physics Students,
• the Rzeszów Branch of the Polish Physical Society,
• the Podkarpackie Renewable Energy Cluster,
• the Doctoral Students' Self-Government of the University of Agriculture,
• the Student Government of the University of Agriculture,
• ZETO Rzeszów.

This year's edition was attended by 37 participants—undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students representing numerous academic institutions from across Poland. In addition to the University of Rzeszów, participants came from the Jagiellonian University, the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the University of Warsaw, the Warsaw University of Technology, the MagTop International Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa, Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, and Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin.

The scientific work presented by the conference participants covered not only the fundamental fields of physics, such as elementary particle physics, condensed matter physics, quantum mechanics, X-ray diffraction, FT-UV spectroscopy, fluorescence, and astronomy, but also demonstrated an interdisciplinary character, encompassing areas such as artificial intelligence, photovoltaic technologies, 3D printing, medicine, and materials engineering.

The participants presented their research findings in the form of oral presentations and poster sessions.

We are pleased to see how the Rzeszów Conference of Young Physicists brings together young researchers from a wide range of scientific disciplines and academic institutions, thereby contributing to the growing recognition of our Alma Mater.
