About the Faculty

The beginnings of the Faculty are connected with the establishment in 1973 of the Branch of Economics of Production and Agricultural Trade in Rzeszów, Agricultural University in Kraków. In 1987, it was transformed into a Branch with two Faculties: Technology of Trade in Raw Materials and Agricultural Products and Economics of Agricultural Production. In 1993, they were merged into one Faculty of Economics with Technology and Agriculture Units, which in 2001 became part of the University of Rzeszów. In 2005, the Technology and Agriculture Units were excluded from the structure of this Faculty and merged with the Institute of Biology and Environmental Protection into the Faculty of Biology and Agriculture. In 2019, this faculty was transformed into two Institutes, Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Management and Protection and Food Technology and Nutrition, which became part of the College of Natural Sciences. In 2025, as a result of the structural reform, these two Institutes became part of the Faculty of Technology and Natural Sciences.
