Twórczość Jennifer Printz eksploruje chwile pośrednie, które istnieją pomiędzy tym, co znane, a tym, co nieznane. Pod wpływem fizyki i praktyk kontemplacyjnych, jej prace badają czas i przyjmują niepewność jako ucieleśnione poszukiwanie sensu. Artystka wybiera materiały i procesy ze względu na ich nieodłączne właściwości i łączy je, tworząc poetyckie formy.

Prace Printz były wystawiane w Stanach Zjednoczonych i za granicą, w tym ostatnio na wystawach w Marshall University, Oolite Arts, a także w formie wielkoformatowej instalacji w Skolnick Surgical Tower w Mt. Sinai Medical Center w Miami Beach. Brała udział w rezydencjach artystycznych zarówno w Stanach Zjednoczonych, jak i za granicą, w tym w 2022 roku w Merz Gallery w Szkocji i Stadt w Salzburgu w Austrii. Prace Printz pojawiły się w tak różnorodnych publikacjach, jak Tricycle i Carolina Review, a także w licznych kolekcjach instytucjonalnych i prywatnych.

Printz jest aktywną liderką w dziedzinie sztuki, zasiadając w zarządach SECAC, SGCI i LAPS. Otrzymała stypendium NCAA Emerging Arts Administrators Fellowship. Printz jest pedagogiem, który doskonalił swoje umiejętności w różnych sytuacjach edukacyjnych, od muzeów po uniwersytety. Jennifer dołącza do kadry Western Carolina University jako wybitny profesor sztuk wizualnych i dyrektor MFA, wcześniej kierując programem MFA w dziedzinie sztuki wizualnej i cyfrowej na Florida International University w Miami na Florydzie.

Jennifer Printz’s practice explores the in-between moments that exist between the known and the unknown. Influenced by physics and contemplative practices, her work investigates time and embraces uncertainty as an embodied search for meaning. Sheselects materials and processes for their inherent qualities and merges them to create poetic forms.

Printz’s artwork has been exhibited across the US and abroad, including recent exhibitions at Marshall University, Oolite Arts, and a large-scale installation of her work at the Skolnick Surgical Tower at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach. She has participated in residencies both in the US and internationally, including 2022 residencies at the Merz Gallery in Scotland and Stadt in Salzburg, Austria. Printz’s work has appeared in publications as diverse as Tricycle and the Carolina Review, as well as in numerous institutional and private collections.

Printz is an active arts leader, serving on the boards of SECAC, SGCI, and LAPS. She was awarded an NCAA Emerging Arts Administrators Fellowship. Printz is an educator who has honed her skills in various classroom situations, from museums to universities. Jennifer is joining the faculty of Western Carolina University as the Distinguished Professor of Visual Arts and MFA Director, having previously directed the MFA in Visual and Digital Art at Florida International University in Miami, Florida.
