Educating people with special needs

  1. Persons with a disability certificate, chronically ill or unable to fully participate in classes in the standard mode, but not having a certified degree of disability and those whose inability to fully participate in classes is caused by a sudden illness or a loss of fitness due to an accident, but the nature of this inability is temporary, can obtain support at the Disabled Persons Office of the University of Rzeszów (DPO).
  2. Registration in the DPO is on the basis of a doctoral student's request.
  3. Detailed rules of the organization and scope of support from the DPO are determined by the Rector.
  4. If doctoral candidate referred to in section 1 has a limited opportunity to fully participate in the classes, including a limited opportunity to pass exams and obtain credits/passes, he/she may apply for an individual study schedule.
  5. Doctoral candidate submits an application for granting an individual organization of education to the Head of Doctoral School. Doctoral candidate is obliged to enclose a DPO opinion on the adaption of the conditions, organization and implementation of the teaching process to his/her needs.
  6. The Head of Doctoral School decides on the granting of the organization of individual education on the basis of the DPO opinion.
